Friday Food for Thought: Giving is a journey

In her book Giving 2.0, Laura Arrillaga-Andreessen encourages everyone to be a philanthropist. One of major takeaways is that philanthropy should be seen more as a lifestyle than a one-time action. Only with this frame of mind can we begin to give more strategically, passionately, and ultimately, get more out of our giving experience.

"Philanthropy is not a single action or a moment in time—it's a journey, one on which you should ask yourself constantly if there's a better way to spend your money and time."

Great quote, and a good reminder to always be evaluating our giving opportunities.
